Cultivate an innovator’s mindset in your child from young and hone their creative problem-solving skills in this "A Day in the Life of a Changi Trolley” Design Thinking Workshop.  In this highly creative educational workshop, they will learn the key elements of design thinking – from empathising with problems and identifying needs of travellers… letting their imagination run wild with ideas… to creating prototypes of their re-imagined airport of the future!

Embark on a fun and educational Amazing Airport Family Quest with your kids and bond as a family while learning fun facts about the airport which you never knew! Go on a fun trail across Jewel, T1 and T3 to hunt for fascinating facts, conquer challenges and solve clues along the way as a family team. For instance, did you know that Changi is also a major cargo hub and has a fully integrated cold chain transportation and storage management solutions? And did you know how the trees in the old T1 carpark were upcycled? Upon completion of Quest, receive River Wonder tickets for your next family adventure!

1.  I note that the camp is recommended for children 5-12 years old. Is there a minimum age for the camp, and can my 4-year old child join? 

The camp is recommended for children 5-12 years old. Some of the activities included in the camp are not age-appropriate for children younger than the age of 6 to enjoy independently and may need a parent to guide them throughout the programme. Children below the age of 4 years old will not be accepted.

2.  Can I shower whilst on the "Night at the Airport" camp?

Yes, you will be given a specific shower slot timing and duration. 

3.  Where is the programme held / registration venue?

Programme  / registration is at Changi Experience Studio. 

4. How many people will be assigned to 1 tent:

We will assign a maximum of 3 persons to a tent. If you have 4 guests, we will provide 2 tents to you. 

5. Are beds provided inside the tent ?

A 5cm air mattress will be provided. However, you will need to bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. 

  1. Each booking for the programme is for at least 1 Child or Youth and 1 Supervising Adult.
  2. All children / youth participating in the programme must be accompanied and supervised by at least one paying adult (aged 21 years old and above).
  3. In light of Covid-19, all participants must adhere and comply with all safe-distancing management measures implemented by CAG for the programme. Only fully vaccinated guests, children aged 12 and below, and guests who have recovered from COVID-19 may participate in the programme. 
  4. Participants must arrive at the relevant venue at the scheduled timings. CAG shall not be liable and shall not be required to compensate the participants in any manner if the participants do not arrive on time for the Programme and miss part(s) of the Programme.
  5. After the booking(s) and payment(s) for the relevant products are made, the Tickets will be sent to the email address provided by the Ticket Purchaser when purchasing the Tickets except for Tickets to access the Programme Venue(s) for the programme which will be given when Ticket Holders attend the programme. Once the Tickets have been issued, they are non-exchangeable and non-refundable and no changes can be made to the dates booked for the relevant programme.
  6. CAG reserves the right to modify or substitute any part of the programme (including the activities, dates and time), or cancel the programme, at any time without prior notice: a. If it is not commercially feasible for CAG to conduct the programme or any part of the programme due to government regulations relating to Covid-19 that are imposed by the Singapore government from time to time; and/or b. If the number of participants for any particular programme run does not hit the minimum participants number required.
  7. In the event of a programme cancellation, CAG may in its sole and absolute discretion, either refund to the Ticket Purchaser all monies paid for the Tickets for the programme or provide an alternative programme run date for the Ticket Holders.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHANGI TROLLEY DESIGN THINKING WORKSHOP

1.  Is there a minimum age for the Design Thinking Workshop? Can I bring my 7-year-old child?

The programme is suitable for children aged between 9 – 14 years and may not be suitable for children younger than 9 years as they may have some difficulties in understanding and taking part in the programme activities. Also, it is a 1.5-hour drop off programme which children will need to be independent without their parents to take part in the programme.

2.  My child is 8 years old and he has participated in other Design Thinking workshops alone before. Can he still join in?

The programme is a 1.5-hour drop off programme which children will need to be independent. If your child is able to learn and enjoy the activities independently, we welcome them!

3.  Where is the programme held / registration venue?

Programme  / registration is at Changi Experience Studio. 

4. Does my child need to have prior experience or knowledge about Design Thinking to join?

This is an introductory workshop where the kids will be introduced to key Design Thinking principles through hands-on activities. No prior experience or knowledge is required.

5. Can I sit in with my child during the program?

We encourage parents to enjoy some me-time while their kids are participating in the workshop. Parents are invited to join the class for the last 20min of the workshop, as that is when the kids will be doing a show-and-tell.

6. Is there anything my child needs to prepare for this program?

All workshop materials will be provided. Children are encouraged to bring their own water bottles in case they get thirsty.

 

CHANGI ROBOMASTER CHALLENGE

1. Is there a minimum age for the Robomaster programme ? Can I bring my 6 year old child?

The programme is suitable for children aged between 8 – 13 years and may not be suitable for children younger than 8yrs, as it is a 3 hour drop off programme which children will need to be independent without their parents to take part in the programme.

2. Where is the programme held / registration venue?
Programme  / registration is at Changi Experience Studio.

3.  Do I have to visit Changi Experience Studio on the same day?

The ticket to Changi Experience Studio is a single-entry ticket valid till end of September 2022. You may visit the attraction any time before the date of expiry printed on the ticket. 

  1. In light of Covid-19, all participants must adhere and comply with all safe-distancing management measures implemented by CAG for the programme. Only fully vaccinated guests, children aged 12 and below, and guests who have recovered from COVID-19 may participate in the programme.
