From 26 April 2022, most venues will no longer require the public to check in using the TraceTogether application or token, except where vaccination status checks are still required, such as larger events with more than 500 people at any one time, food and beverage (F&B) outlets including coffee shops and hawker centres, and nightlife establishments with dancing. In these places, you need to show your verified vaccination status, which will be automatically reflected for travellers, in the TraceTogether mobile app or bring along your TraceTogether token. More details below.
Prior to your departure to Singapore, you must download the TraceTogether mobile app. Upon arrival, you must activate and use the app for the duration of your stay in Singapore. Do ensure that your TraceTogether mobile app is updated to the latest version.
After downloading the TraceTogether mobile app, you need to:
- Follow the instructions that appear when you launch the app
- Verify your mobile number with an SMS One-Time Password and register your profile on the app with the same identification number, nationality, and date of birth as those shown in the passport that you are using to enter Singapore
- Click on the ‘ACTIVATE APP’ button on the Holding Screen immediately after you have cleared arrival immigration in Singapore. Follow the instructions until you reach the Home Screen
For more information, please refer to the TraceTogether website.
For children who are aged 7 to 12 in the calendar year* and those unable to use a mobile device due to a certified disability or special needs:
You need to collect the TraceTogether tokens with payment of a refundable S$50 deposit at the Changi Recommends booth at Changi Airport or Seletar Business Aviation Centre at Seletar Airport upon arrival in Singapore. As each token is uniquely tagged to each individual, you need to carry your own token wherever you go, and not exchange with others.
*In the year 2022, this covers children born from 2010 to 2015 (inclusive)
Children aged 6 and below in the calendar year (i.e., in the year 2022, those born in or after 2016) are exempted from the TraceTogether requirement.
