Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 Basement 2 gets a major makeover to delight visitors in new ways

Changi Airport regulars won’t recognise Terminal 3 (T3) when they visit at the start of the school holiday season this November. The once familiar Basement 2 will unveil an elevated retail experience with a community event space, a themed garden and more than 10 new shopping and F&B offerings.

With close to 50 retail, service and F&B stores, including full-scale shopping and 24-hour dining options and play facilities like the Hello Kitty and Teddy & Me playgrounds, T3 Basement 2 (B2) is especially loved by families.

“Nearly 17 million people visit and enjoy Changi Airport's top family spot at T3 B2 each year. For the regulars, it is their favourite go-to spot for yummy family meals, convenient grocery shopping, and exciting entertainment for the little ones” says James Fong, Vice President for Landside Concessions at Changi Airport Group. “With the improvements to this family-friendly location, we will create even more space for families to hangout, dine at new F&b joints and bring the entire family experience at Changi to a new level.”

This means 300 sqm of retail space added – with a line-up of new tenants and concepts in both retail and F&B. Airport visitors can look forward to mouth-watering dining options like a multi-concept F&B outlet comprising  Stuff'd, Crave and new brand Coffee Boy, Mr Teh Tarik Express, airport-themed Halal foodhall concept Terminal M by MOF, Thai cuisine and dessert Saap Saap Thai and Saap Saap Thai Desserts and a refurbished Ramen Champion & Hokkaido Paradise.

The highlight of the revamp is the new atrium space and Fun Art garden. The atrium space in the form of a stepped terrace will be a focal point for shoppers, diners and the airport community. The steps will also be a space to bring people together, as visitors and the airport community can expect free screenings of movies and football matches on one of Singpoare's highest- definition screen, as well as live performances.

While renovation takes place from now to March 2019, T3 B2 remains open to visitors and business is as usual.
